They join us as we continue to grow our impact across Scotland. The appointments bring additional expertise and perspective to the charity’s governance, supporting our mission to restore and expand woodlands from urban environments to rural landscapes.

Claire is an Environment Programme Manager at Forestry and Land Scotland. She currently leads national delivery of peatland and temperate rainforest restoration programmes, driving progress towards the Scottish Government’s Biodiversity Strategy Delivery Plan and Climate Change Plan targets.
Claire said:

Tom, a Social Performance and Partnerships leader at bp, is focused on delivering meaningful community impact through strategic partnerships, engagement and social investment
Tom said: “Being appointed as a Trustee for Future Woodlands Scotland is a privilege. It’s an opportunity to contribute to something I care deeply about – ensuring strong stewardship and thoughtful investment so Scotland’s woodlands deliver enduring benefits for communities and nature. Having seen the impact of place-based partnerships, I’m motivated to help drive lasting, positive change.”
