This project will transform local greenspace into a welcoming place for people of all ages to play, relax and spend time together. New trees and planting will improve tree cover, support wildlife and help manage surface water (recent years has seen increased rainfall and this area of greenspace retains a lot of the water collected). The planting of new trees and shrubs will see more moisture absorbed into the soil and therefore see less water flowing rapidly across the area and potentially creating flooding at certain points. This in turn creates a healthier and more resilient environment for the community year round.
